RosemarieAt the March 2014 MCDCC meeting, the Mariposa County Democratic Central Committee voted to endorse Rosemarie Smallcombe, Candidate for Mariposa County Supervisor, District 1. Rosemarie is Co-President (with her husband) of the Mariposa County Democratic Club and serves as the Central Committee Vice-Chair and Executive Board Representative.

 

California Democratic Party Candidate Endorsement and Recommendations for the 2014 June 3rd Primary Election

(At its annual convention held March 7-9, 2014 in Los Angeles, the California Democratic Party endorsed these State Constitutional, Federal District and State District Democratic Candidates)

 

Edmund G. "Jerry" Brown* – CA Governor

Gavin Newsom* – CA Lieutenant Governor

Kamala D. Harris* – CA Attorney General

 

No recommendation – CA Controller

John Chiang – CA Treasurer

 

No recommendation – CA Secretary of State

 

Dave Jones* – CA Insurance Commissioner

Tom Torlakson* – CA Superintendent of Public Instruction

Chris Parker – CA State Board of Equalization District 1

 

No endorsement request – Congressional District 4

 

Jim Costa* – Congressional District 16

 

No recommendation – State Senate District 8

 

Shawn K. Bagley** – State Senate District 12

 

No endorsement request – State Assembly District 5

In addition, the California Democratic Party adopted the following positions on the June 3, 2015 election ballot measures:

YES on Proposition 41 –Veterans Housing and Homeless Prevention Bond Act of 2014

Authorizes $600 million in general obligation bonds for affordable multifamily supportive housing to relieve homelessness, provide affordable transitional housing, affordable rental housing, or related facilities for veterans and their families.

 

 

YES on Proposition 42 – Public Records. Open Meetings State Reimbursement to Local Agencies. Legislative Constitutional Amendment

Requires local government compliance with laws providing for public access to local government body meetings and records of government officials. Eliminates reimbursement for costs of compliance.
